Pepe has about 12 times the wallets. The average SPX6900 wallet holds about 3 times as much. Breadth and depth are different things, and only the ledger tells them apart.
Holding is not always conviction.
19,058 wallets still hold Wojak. The whole coin is worth about $4.3K, so the average wallet holds $0.22. Nobody is holding on. There is just nothing left to sell.
It has happened at every size. Terra's LUNA had one of the loudest communities in crypto in April 2022. In May it lost more than 99.9% of its value in a week. A big average stake measures what holders are doing today. It has never protected anyone from tomorrow.
How this is read, and where it falls short
Ethereum wallets only. Several of these coins also trade on other chains, SPX6900 on Base and Solana among them, and wallets there are not in these numbers. Coins held on an exchange sit in the exchange's own wallets and do not appear as holders at all, which undercounts every coin here. One person can hold many wallets, so wallet counts are wallets, not people. The average is the mean, and a handful of very large wallets pulls it up.
