Strategy raises $2B, pauses Bitcoin buys while holding 840,000 BTC
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) raised $2 billion through stock sales and created a $1.59 billion cash reserve, but paused new Bitcoin purchases. The company maintained its Bitcoin holdings at 840,447 BTC while also repurchasing $136.4 million of its own shares.
Why it matters for the crypto market
Strategy's decision to build cash rather than buy Bitcoin at current levels signals institutional caution even as smaller treasury companies continue accumulating.
