Germany extends lead in EU crypto licensing with 79 regulated firms
Germany has now authorized 79 crypto asset service providers under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) rules, expanding its lead over France and the Netherlands after six new banks received licenses in the latest update.
Why it matters for the crypto market
MiCA, the EU's comprehensive crypto regulation, is being implemented at different speeds across member states, creating competitive licensing regimes that shape where crypto firms operate in Europe.
