Elon Musk's X Money partners with Cross River Bank for peer-to-peer payments and FDIC-insured accounts
Cross River Bank, a bank that powers financial services for technology companies, will provide the back-end infrastructure for X Money, the financial services arm of Elon Musk's X platform. The partnership will enable peer-to-peer payments, federally insured deposit accounts, and Visa debit cards on X.
Why it matters for the crypto market
X Money's expansion into banking infrastructure, backed by a regulated bank, moves a major consumer platform closer to offering integrated financial services that could include crypto and stablecoin payments at scale.
