Ripple launches institutional minting platform for its RLUSD stablecoin
Ripple has opened a new platform called Mint that lets financial institutions create and redeem its RLUSD stablecoin directly, as the stablecoin's total market value approaches $1.6 billion. Ripple also added RLUSD to Notabene, a network that helps firms track who is sending crypto across borders to meet compliance requirements.
Why it matters for the crypto market
Expanding institutional access to RLUSD minting could accelerate its adoption in cross-border payments and increase its market footprint relative to competing stablecoins.
